    Default Logitech mouse and CAD

HELP!!!! I have just upgraded from AutoCAD 2000i to 2005. It seems good so far! There are a number of changes, some good and some bad. One thats seem bad is the way relatime zoom and pan now work with a wheel mouse. I have an Logitech click optical mouse and the following things seem to occure:

zoom percentage is a lot more than in previous versions (I know how to adjust this)
double clicking the wheel button no longer activates the zoom extents function
and finally pan only seems to work accross the horizontal???

Can anyone one tell me why?

    Paul

Have you tried the options in the control panel for the mouse?

Sounds a bit like when I first installed my logitech mouse, set your middle button to the middle button function, rather than wheel, and of course, make sure you have the right driver installed.

    Hope that helps

Clicking Middle scroll wheel used to give you OSnap. Now you can get that with CTR Right Click. Maybe that will help as well getting used to 2005. I had the same problems at first.

Do you have the middle button on the mouse set to the function "middle button" in your logitech software? Is there software for your mouse?

Also, turn off the scroll bars in the AutoCAD window. Tools/Options/ display tab/ window elements...uncheck the box that says "display the scroll bars........". This may help it to pan realtime.

The way I fixed this problem is to uninstall the Logitech drivers. If you just use the default Microsoft driver, the real-time pan and zoom will work. Worked for me every time. You dont get all the advantages of the Logitech software, but thats nothing if can't real-time pan and zoom.
