    Hey there,
Martin, you may be onto something. Why not just create the fill region and export that to DWG and then import it back into the section. That way, you can adjust where the imported fill goes. Might work

While I don't believe that you can create a transparent fill region, you can create a transparent masking region. I believe that you can reach your desired result by doing the following:

    - Create a new drafting view
    - Create a new masking region
    - Change the boundary line "Subcategory" parameter to <Invisible lines>
    - Accept the changes
    - Right click on the masking region and select "Override Graphics in View -> By Element"
    - Change the "Surface Transparency" to fit your needs (I prefer somewhere between 30-40%)
    - Accept settings
    - Drag your drafting view onto the sheet with your desired drawing and place over area you wish to affect

Once on the sheet, you can adjust the size and shape of your masking region to fit your drawing more accurately.

    Hope this helps.

FWIW, the last reply before yours in this thread was July 2005...

Filled Regions have a property called Masking (Revit 2020), so they can be transparent now too. Override Graphics By Element also provides an individual override for Transparency if necessary.
