Default can i make a contour label that leaves out a single contour?

We have our surface/contours/contour labels set up already(its a beach). We have custom contour lines to represent low water, high water etc as well as a label style that labels them appropriately. However 1 of them falls basically on the 10' contour in part of the survey, so the 10' label and the high water label get in each others way. can i somehow make a contour label that skips the 10' contour?

I would adjust the Surface Label Group to not cross the 10' contour. Then have a single Surface Label to show the high water label.

Try to add the 10' contour to the surface definition as a breakline, sir.

Assuming your water level contours are minor contours, set the major contour style to <none>. You can do this in the properties of an existing label group or while creating the labels.
