    Unhappy OLE Logo issues...

I have our company logo copied into our title block as an object, not inserted as an image. Anyhow, ussually I could click on it, move it around, size it, or just get rid of it. However, sometimes, like now, I cant click on it at all and I need to remove it to update it with a new logo. I will be inserting this new one as an image instead of copying it, but how do I get rid of the old one? do I have to make a block of the titleblock, and start off like that? or is there a command that can get rid of it?
    Thanks for your time..

I think your image frame is OFF thus preventing you from
selecting it, or the image has been made unselectable.

What is that Image of...it migh be best to convert it into
CAD objects. Send me a copy of the NEW logo to examine
    for you.

The logo is just something I grabbed once off of a microsoft word document and just copied it into the titleblock, ussually its workable, but every so often this happens. Now I am using the proper logo from our Texas office....

    William,

The 'solutions' outlined in these TWO documents
DO NOT work for this drawing OLE2FRAME object.

    http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet...linkID=2475323

    I tried this in 2002, 2004 versions.

In 2005 it is perfectly selectable and functions correctly.
So I will remove the bad ole image and return your title
block to you under seperate cover to maintain your
    confidentiality.

    Hi

Have a browse of the following thread -

Adding a disclaimer to a drawing.

Can you please post the drawing file here so everyone can benefit (learn from it, if they so desire) and investigate the issue / problem.

    Have a good one, Mike

    Hi Bill

Now that I'm back at work and have finally seen the Logo.dwg file you kindly sent I can report back that if you follow the link I posted above (in my previous post within this thread), then use the solution outlined in Technical Document ID: TS64541 you can move the OLE Object to a Layer that can be Frozen (basically the workaround that the Technical Document offers); this worked for me in AutoCAD 2002 (I can post the drawing file if you would like).

You could use the WBlock command to create a New Drawing file that contains all Modelspace Objects apart from the "bad" OLE2FRAME Object; this worked for me in AutoCAD 2002 (at the "Select objects:" prompt I used _All). Granted if the drawing file contains Layout(s) the WBlock method creates a little more work (but not much).

    Have a good one, Mike
