2D View on a MvPart Question in ACAD MEP 2008

I'm working on changing how Volume Dampers are displayed, and I created the 2D View we want, but depending on how the CAD User inserts it it'll either show the top view which displays right, or the Bottom view which displayes like the 3D model does so it doesn't use the 2D info I input for the Symbol. Is there anything I can do about that or am I stuck with it?

Change the bottom view to use the same block as the top view.

Where would I do that? In the Content Builder? I found the check box in Options to make it use it for the Top View but no where to tell it bottom view also..

Would this be considered a "Parametric Part" maybe that's where I'm getting confused. It's the out of the Box Volume Damper that I'm editing.

Yeah, <hmm> I see the issue. You can edit the views post-insert, but I don't see a way in the Content Builder to do what you want up-front.

hmmm.. how do you edit it post insertion? Maybe in the RARE instances this happens they can just do that.. is it hard or time consuming?

It is found under the MV Part Properties. But, as you can see, the view block definitions are anonymous blocks, so you need to have your real block inserted in the drawing, assign that block to the top/bottom views, and turn off the top/bottom views for the model representations.

IOW, it isn't pretty.

Yea I see that. You also have to repeat that for each size you'd insert, which could end up being a lot of sizes. Well, there is something for the Wish List in 2010 I guess lol.
