printing acad with excel in the dwg

Hello everyone, i have an excel file and a cad file. (just explaining) i need some text from the excel to be imported to cad. so what i did was copied the text from excel and riht click copy. then i went to acad (2000i) and paste special, but linked, so i can edit easily. everything looks good and when i print, it shows on the preview. my problem is that when i go to the printer, the excel part does not print. is there something wrong im doing? is there a setting i shall change? need help please.
