    Question hatch problem

Recently I used AutoCAD 2005 since last month and everything was fine till I got drawing file from my client, a dwg AutoCAD2000 format, and did some revision to the drawing. I changed the hatch color to yellow, the original is blue, and saved the file to AutoCAD 2000 format since my client use AutoCAD 2000. After the file is closed and reopen, the program seemed to be hanged and not responding. When I try to open the error file in other computer, with higher specification, it’s still take a long time to open. After a few minutes, it opens but the hatch scale is to be change in some area. Trying fix the problem with match properties doesn't help. What’s happening? Is this caused by save the file as AutoCAD 2000 format or anything else?

Additional information, my PC use P 4 2,4 GHz, 256 M RAM, HDD 40 G. No other program installed on this PC.I attach the native file and the error one. Thx

    Hi

Check out the following Technical Documents on the Autodesk web site under the Knowledge Base section -

ID: TS17458 - Use MaxHatch system variable to control hatch density

    ID: TS76597 - Error: EHatchTooDense

Within drawing file "error_LOWER GROUND-rev1.dwg" once I set Environmental Variable MaxHatch to "1000000" everything appeared to be ok! (please see attached).

Just a quick observation, the drawing file appears to use CELTSCALE for no obvious reason.... personally I would really try not to go down that road.

For additional information on controlling Linetype appearance, search the Forums for things like CELTSCALE, LTSCALE & PSLTSCALE -

    Have a good one, Mike
