View Full Version : Breaking Keynotes Up By Sheet

Here's my problem: I have a whole bunch of keynotes all around the project, which are all tied to their respective "condoc" keynote spec number in the keynote txt file. However, whenever I try to create a keynote legend, it includes all the keynotes for the entire project.

I've tried going into the settings->keynoting dialog box and selecting "by sheet" for the numbering method, but all that does is break my "condoc" numbering system and implement a basic numbered approach (1, 2, 3, 4).

Is there any way to continue with the condoc numbering system, but somehow filter the keynotes on the legend so that the legend for each sheet only contains the keynotes that are on that sheet? In other words, right now, if I put a keynote legend on the floor plan, it lists keynotes that are on all the other sheets as well---when all I want it to list are the keynotes on that particular sheet. Is this possible?

Thanks!

Open up the keynote view...under Legends. Right click, View Properties, click on Filters, check the box Filter by Sheet.

I'm having a similar problem, I have the "Filter by sheet" checkbox checked, but the keynote legend shows every keynote in the project... when I right-click on a keynote that IS NOT on the current sheet and click on "Show...", revit then warns me that it needs to open closed views and it might take some time etc etc - all stuff tht I know, but I'm none the wiser as to why the "filter by sheet" checkbox has no effect.

BTW, the view is a site plan at 1:200, not that this should be relevant...

can anyone share any ideas?

TIA
